City and NOSSA Cross Country

Your Korah Cross Country Team had a great showing at the City Cross Country
Championships. Your Colts came away as City Team Champs in Midget and Junior Girls,
Midget, Junior and Senior boys. With a strong showing in every division, the Colts claimed the Girls and Boys Aggregate Championships.

On the trails at Laurentian University, your Colts came away as the overall Boys NOSSA Champs and were awarded the top overall Cross Country team in the North. Every team
recieved points to help the Colts claim the Aggregate Championship banner.
The Midget Girls won the team championship lead by Jadyn Pettenuzzo in second place. Team members include Dakota Rouse, Hanna Jodoin, Sam Barrett and Sanksrati Patel.
In Junior Girls, the Colts placed 7th, lead by Lianna Hryniwicz in 8th place. The Senior girls ended in 5th, lead by Erin Lee who had an outstanding race and qualified OFSAA with a 5th place finish. On the boys side the Midgets finished 3rd, lead by Desmond Wood Anderson in 13th. The Junior boys defended their NOSSA Championship title, lead by Sebastian Gingrass in 3rd. Team members include: Alex Gelmych, Shane Charron, Isaac Lennox and Noah Silvano. The last race of the day saw your Senior boys have the race of their lives and finishing in 2nd place and qualifying for OFSAA. The boys were lead by Matteo Reich in 9th place. Team Members include: Spencer Bordin, Brady McClelland, Eythan Henson and Can Cui. 16 of your Colts will be heading to OFSAA next week. Congratulations !

The Midget, Junior, Senior, and Aggregate badminton team won the City Championships on April 3rd 2014. That was the 22nd consecutive year of winning thee aggregate championship. Great work by all 48 players! The following athletes placed 2nd in the city: Terry Baraciak, Michaela Martella, Daniel VanBoerdonk and Sean Smith, Sila McGuffin and Madelyn Suriano, Rohit Garudadri and Hannah Yule, Noah Wacker and Dante Severini, Alex Gelmych and Sam Turnbull, Anie Marshall, Skylar Kroll and Spencer Bordin, Emily Groulx and Tianna Palumbo, Sara VanBoerdonk and Evan Bodnar. The following players are City Champs: Johnathan Mah, Lizzy Roberts, Tori Ivey and Avery Bodnar, Eric VanBoerdonk and Lianna Hryaniwicz, Jarret Litalian, Heather Spooner, Carina Hargis and Kristine Palumbo, Can Cui, Hilary Prouse and Danielle Ciotti, Jaden Cerasoulo and Austin Kirkwood.
